The conquest of Constantinople:

Constantinople was besieged by Muhammad II, known as the Conqueror, in April 1453
and took the city on May 29 1453 AC corresponding to 20th Jumada I 857 AH,
and made it the capital of the Ottoman Empire. By which
triumph, Muhammad II became among the most famous and acknowledged leaders of the
Islamic world.
