Amjad Al Zahawi: (1883 - 1967)

A prominent scholar in the field of Islamic Law, who was born, lived and died in Baghdad. He died on Friday 17th November 1967, corresponding to 14th Sha'ban 1387 AH, before the Friday prayer in his home in Baghdad. Both his father, Muhammad Sa'id al Zahawi (1852 - 1921), and his grand father, Muhammad Faidhi al Zahawi (1793 - 1890), were well known scholars and official expounders of Islamic Law.
