For thousands of years, people used the readily available meteoritic iron to make basic tools and equipments.  The industrial revolution during the eighteenth century (AC) renewed the use of iron and made great advances in ironworking techniques.  With the advancement of manufacturing technology, the iron metal became widely used in ever increasing number of products from nails to large vessels and gigantic construction equipments.
