Qur'anic verses - Prophet of God:

Enoch, or Idris in Arabic, is mentioned in the Qur'an among those who patiently persevered. He was a man of truth and sincerity and he kept to truth and piety in the highest station. It is believed that Enoch was the second grand father of Noah. The Qur'an would not suggest that "Enoch walked with God" as mentioned in the first Book of the Bible (Genesis 5: 21-23) and the Book of Moses (7:69). Unlike the Bible, the Qur'anic style is neither territorial nor chronological, but it is characterized by referring to the lessons that which have to be taken into consideration from the context of the events.
