Qur'anic verses - The Apostle:

Hud was sent by God as an apostle to his own people, 'Ad, who dwelled the southern region of the Arabian Peninsula.

God's religion has been one to all people at all time and, likewise all other prophets, Hud's mission was to remind the people by the Oneness of God: the message of the true monotheism. Thus, the worship is due to God alone.

To the 'Ad people, (We sent) Hud, one of their (own) brethren: he said: "O my people! worship God! ye have no other god but Him.
