Qur'anic verses - Sexes in Plants:

The mystery of sex runs through all creation, in man, in animal life, in vegetable life, and other things of which we have no knowledge.

The Holy Book confirms the fact that a plant can also produce new living things through sexual reproduction as in the case of human kind. In sexual reproduction, a male cell joins with a female egg cell to produce a new plant.

An insect, or wind, may leave some pollen on the stigma of a flower, and fertilzation can take place. A male gamete from the pollen tube joins with an egg from the ovary, and a seed is born. After they have been pollinated, flowers produce seeds and fruits.

Then there are pairs of opposite forces in nature, i.e., positive and negative charges in electricity. The atom itself consists of positive nucleus, surrounded by negatively charged electrons, and so on.

And fruit of every kind He made in pairs, two and two: He draweth the Night as a veil o'er the Day. Behold, verily in these things there are Signs for those who consider!
