Qur'anic verses - The Great Flood:

If God's signs settle in people's hearts, generation after generation, no worshippers would be around the Golden Calf, among whom witnessed the splitting of the sea. Or, who rode the waves and were carried by the Ark with Noah to safety, their ancestors could be pure and righteous at all time. Thus the struggle of the self with what is vagary and encompassed with desires shall dominate human behaviour. The winners in this struggle are those who submit themselves to God's Will.
