Qur'anic verses - The Right to Education:

The very first revealed word in the Qur'an to the Prophet was: 'Read' or 'Proclaim', and the first duty of the first Man, Adam was to learn:
And He taught Adam the names of all things.
[Qur'an
2:31]
and then to convey the message with knowledge to mankind:
Even as We have sent among you a Messenger of your own, rehearsing to you
Our Signs, and sanctifying you, and instructing you in Scripture and Wisdom, and
in new knowledge.
[Qur'an
2:151]
Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to understand the real value of life. God said:
Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those
who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.
[Qur'an
39:9]
